sig 556 recoil spring

Post by dizziestbeef » Fri Jan 13, 2012 1:31 am

i was looking around and found out that you put the ro=ecoil spring for the sig 556 in the wrong place. you have it behind the bolt carrier but the official sig diagram has it along the gas piston just like the sg550s.
here is the link http://www.sigsauer.com/upFiles/CmsCont ... x-View.pdf
"where are you going this is obviously a trap!"
"and?"
"you could die"
"and?"
"and that would not help anything!!"
"well i don't have much anything better to do right now sooooo"

I'm confused. What are you trying to show us on the diagram

I believe what he is trying to say is the recoil spring is in the wrong place because it isn't behind the bolt carrier on the sig 556 it is on the piston rod.

Oh I see what's causing the confusion here.
That diagram you've linked here is of the Sig 556 which is a newer varietion of the 550 series (which includes the 552 Commando)
The gun in GD2 is the 552 Commando which has has a shorter barrel, folding stock and a redesigned bolt carrier that moves as a single unit.

So the components in GD2 aren't wrong, it's just a variation of the version that you see there.
