I was thinking it would be quite cool if when you fire, there was smoke as well as the flash. Also in slow-mo, it would be good to see the bullet shoot out the barrel instead of just disappearing.

The developers are thinking of adding those features in the future but right now they are busy with making new weapons. This is an unofficial answer since I am not a developer, but I remember Stoner saying so but I can't seem to find where he said on the forum because of all the spammers.
